We plan to yarn bomb Sun Target, a large yellow sculpture at the corner of National and Bennett in front of the Springfield Art Museum, 1111 E. Brookside Springfield MO, weather permitting, on the weekend of Oct. 19-20.

The installation will be up until November 5th.

You can contribute with a piece of any size, shape, color, or design of something you have made. If you have a U.F.O. (unfinished object), that may work.

Better yet, try making something new and fun – use crazy colors, awesome textures, or learn a new stitch… Then send it to us, and we will sew the pieces together into a patchwork sweater for the sculpture! Still not sure what to do? For more instructions and photos, check out this blog post:

Please mail your work to RuBert Studios, 1841 East Bergman St., Springfield, MO 65802 or mail or drop off your work at the Springfield Art Museum, 1111 E. Brookside, Springfield, MO, 65807, before Oct. 19.

If you’d like recognition on our website, please write your name, hometown, and blog or website (if you have one) on a piece of paper and pin it to your work. Contributions will not be returned. We plan on wrapping the sculpture the weekend of October 19–20, weather permitting. Please join us if you can — it’s fun to be involved as these projects come to life!
